Titled "Floralia", this handmade ceramic wall artwork is made up of 29 individual abstract wall art sculptures.
All the pieces are formed from beautiful high-fired white porcelain, and are perfect in modern living spaces and as bedroom art. 12 of the 3D pieces are finished in deep aubergine or lilac, with the remainder in plain white porcelain. This piece is 64" wide x 15" high (163 x 39cm), making it perfect as over-bed art or along a living room or dining room wall.
The deep burgundy purple tone is inspired by Sherwin Williams' Blackberry colourway, which is softened by the pastel lilac and freshened by the natural white porcelain. Each piece is finished with a stitch of golden wire. This colourway pairs really well with neutral tones, as well as pink, purple and green schemes. I've pictured a few of the pieces on a wall of Farrow and Ball's Brinjal which they tone with perfectly.

The largest measures approx 10cm and the smallest approx 5.5cm (approx 3.9 inches and 2.1 inches) and they stand approx 3 - 5 cm from the wall.
Inspired by natural forms such as peony flowers and lichen, they bring a layered, organic textural feel to a space. Because each one is made in my hands, each piece is unique.
Of course, they could be stretched much wider, turned on their side to be tall and narrow, or condensed to a denser more square, spiral or circular arrangement.
It's really easy and fun to arrange the set. If you are unsure of how to position them, then I recommend cutting circles of paper to the same sizes as the flowers and using blu tack to arrange them before installing the work permanently. This lets you play around with the arrangement, and take a step back to make sure you get them in positions you are happy with.
Alternatively, add my design and template service to your cart, and include your sizes and any information you'd like to share about the space in the "message to seller" box during checkout. If you would like to, you can also send me a photo of the space. Then, we will design a commissioned composition based on this work that fits your space perfectly so that the art is commissioned just for you and your space. We hope we'll get it right first time, but if we don't we will revise the drawing up to twice included in the cost. Once you are happy, we will create a full size installation template to make sure the work is fitted exactly as the design shows, and we'll send that out to you with your art order.
Each piece has a keyhole style fitting or similar, making them super easy to hang on one small flat headed nail or screw in your wall.
Porcelain has a beautiful translucent quality shown in the image taken from the side - some of the light shines through. The art can be arranged in many different configurations, so it's perfect for even tricky spaces, as you can place them to suit your space. We can also create them in different custom colours, such as the pink and gold pieces shown here (These are not included in the listing for sale) I've included these to show one of the custom commissioned pieces I've made in this work.
