This handmade ceramic artwork is made up of of 15 oak leaf wall art sculptures.
Oak trees symbolise wisdom, strength and good fortune. Much of my work is inspired by nature, to bring the beauty of the outdoors inside our everyday spaces and help us to feel connected to that in the small moments of our lives.
The leaves are finished in plain white, matte porcelain, some with a tactile clear glossy glaze and some in a rich metallic gold. All the pieces were formed from beautiful high-fired ceramic, so they're great art for kitchens and bathrooms as well as living spaces and bedroom art.

The largest measures approx 13.5cm and the smallest approx 10cm (approx 4 inches and 5.5 inches) and they stand approx 3 - 5 cm from the wall. Arranged as pictured in the first image, this set takes up a space approximately 110cm x 90cm (around 43" wide x 35" high).

The goal with this set is to make the leaves look like they are floating in on a breeze and imitate how mother nature would have gently blown them through the air. With that in mind, some of the porcelain pieces are sculpted to be curved, and some edges of the leaves were turned up right whilst some are bent down to help create that sense of natural movement.

Of course, they can be arranged in a variety of ways and it's easy and fun to do. If you are unsure of how to position them, then I recommend either using post it notes or cutting pieces of paper to the same sizes as the leaves and using poster putty to arrange them before installing the work permanently. This lets you play around with the arrangement, and take a step back to make sure you get them in positions you are happy with. Alternatively, get in touch to ask about our design service! Each piece has 2 keyhole style fittings or similar, making them easy to hang on flat headed nails or screws in your wall.
