Blossom Petals - Original Ceramic Wall Artwork in Porcelain, Deep Blackberry Purple and Soft Violet

This original wall art is inspired by cherry blossom floating in a warm spring breeze, or a scattering of rose petals dancing through the air. 

Titled "Floating Blossom", the piece comprises 23 delicate ceramic wall sculptures. Each one was handmade from beautiful high-fired porcelain finished in a mix of natural white porcelain, muted violet and a rich velvety purple. The violet colour is inspired by RAL Pastel Violet 4009 and the darker tone is inspired by Sherwin Williams finish Blackberry. The simple, minimal forms bring an elegant, romantic feel to a space and they can be arranged in lots of ways to suit even very tricky spaces. Because each one is made by hand in my UK studio, every piece is unique. 

Each petal measures approx 10cm (approx 4inches) and they stand approx 1 - 3cm (around 1 inch) from the wall. Arranged as pictured in the first two images, this set takes up a space approximately 170cm wide (approx 5ft 5 inches) and 85cm high (2ft 7 inches). Of course, they could be stretched wider, turned on their side to be tall and narrow, or condensed to a more square, spiral or circular arrangement. I particularly like this wall art for bedrooms and living rooms, where it can create a horizontal feature over a bed or sofa, as well as flowing diagonally over stairs in entryways.

It's really easy and fun to arrange the group.

If you are confident about arranging them yourself, then I recommend cutting pieces of paper to the same sizes as the petals and using poster putter to arrange them before installing the work permanently. This lets you play around with the arrangement, and take a step back to make sure you get them in positions you are happy with. 

Each petal wall sculpture can be easily hung on one or two secure flat headed nails or screws in your wall. Every one is made by hand here in the studio, and they are sculpted individually, so no two are identical.
